Barbara (Bobbie) John is a professor of geology at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY (US). There she teaches structural geology, field courses, and graduate seminars in tectonics. Her primary research interest is in structural geology/tectonics and igneous processes, focused on lithospheric extension both in marine and terrestrial environments.
