This morning, a last rainbow for Arc-en-Sub. Then land on the horizon! We are back in the port of Ponta Delgada. Has a month really passed?
7 dives, 47 hours and 230 km later… The IdefX AUV (with the help of Marianne and Caroline) allowed us to obtain a bathymetry of the ocean floor with an exceptional resolution!
5 broadband ocean bottom seismometers were deployed at 9 sites, for 1 to 3 weeks. The data will allow us to image the subsurface of the area.
16 dives for the ROV Victor, which collected 382 samples. Some of these samples will be bring back by the rock team for analysis this summer. We will have to wait until September to receive the rest in Paris.
This will provide the basis for many more working meetings. The story has only just begun…
